Christian C. Sanderson Museum
The Charlestown Historical Society is sponsoring a “guided tour” of the Christian C. Sanderson Museum on Saturday, October 21, 2017. The tour will be conducted by Chuck Ulmann, curator.
The location is 1755 Creek Road, Chadds Ford, PA. Please arrive by 12 noon when the Museum opens.
Admission is $ 8 for adult non-members. You may meet at the Wisner-Rapp house by 11:20am for those wishing to car-pool or you may drive directly yourself.
The Museum is not considered handicapped accessible due to 4 steps up to the front porch and a somewhat steep stairway with railings to the second floor. For those choosing not to go upstairs or have trouble walking, a 30 minute DVD can be shown about the museum.
Visitors to the Museum will see artifacts from the Revolutionary War, Civil War, both World Wars, and learn about the Battle of the Brandywine. They will also see original sketches and paintings from N.C. Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth, Peter Hurd and other Wyeth family members. The Sanderson Museum represents a man’s life and a nation’s history.
