The Charlestown Historical Society is holding a Service on Memorial Day, May 25, 2015 from 11 a.m.-12 noon in the Historic Charlestown
Cemetery on Charlestown Road opposite the Charlestown Play House. Over 250 soldiers from the Revolutionary War as well as soldiers from the War of 1812 are buried here.
This year we will be honoring all veterans of U.S. wars as well as current members serving in the United States Military. Please come and be honored! Also, please pass on this information to your relatives, friends and neighbors.
The Boy Scout Troop 67 and their Scout Leader, Pete Warner, will participate again. The Scouts will replace and add small flags at the various gravesites. Nancy K. Loane, ED.D, author and former Valley Forge Park Ranger, will help lead us in the service. Eric Woodworth, Pastor of the Charlestown Methodist Church, will lead us in prayer.
