Our first spring meeting of 2017
will be held on Wednesday, April 19 from 7-9pm.
Meeting Topic: Col. Alexander Hamilton
Our speaker for the evening will be noted history lecturer and author, Mr. Gene Pisasale, of Kennett Square, PA. Mr. Pisasale speaks on a number of historical topics, and has written several books relating to local history, including the Revolutionary War and the Brandywine Valley.
His meeting topic will be Col. Alexander Hamilton, who was one of the most important “Founding Fathers” of the United States, and whose contributions were critical during our nation’s early days.
Mr. Pisasale will speak as a “living biographer” of Alexander Hamilton”, dressed as Hamilton did as a Colonel in the Continental Army. This topic should be quite relevant because of recent interest in Hamilton, and we strongly encourage all CHS members as well as community members to attend. Light refreshments will be available after the meeting.
